⏰ ARRIVAL & TIMING: ⏰

 

What time should my dancer arrive?

  • Dancers should arrive FULLY READY (costume, hair & makeup done) 30 minutes before showtime. 👉 Please see Schedules & Lineups for exact timing.

 

Is dress rehearsal required?

  • Yes—dress rehearsal is mandatory for all dancers.

  • This is their only chance to practice on stage with spacing, lighting, and transitions.

Do dancers come dressed?

 

  • Yes—dancers should arrive in their first costume with hair and makeup complete. Please wear a cover-up when in the lobby.

 

 

🎭 DRESS REHEARSAL & RECITAL DAY 🎭

 

What should we expect for dress rehearsal?

 

  • Dress rehearsal is a full run-through on stage (costume, hair, makeup, lighting)

  • Arrive ready by 5:20 PM for a 5:30 PM start

  • Dances may run out of order

  • Class photos are taken after performing - Individual photos can be done at your leisure in the lobby

  • Once finished onstage, dancers are free to leave

 

What should we expect for recital day?

 

  • Two identical shows (same routines in both)

  • Show runs approximately 2 hours with intermission

  • Dancers stay backstage the entire show

  • One parent will pick up their dancer after the show

Can parents go backstage?

  • No—only dancers, staff, and approved volunteers are allowed backstage

  • Our team is there to supervise and assist all dancers.

 

 

🎒 COSTUMES & WHAT TO BRING 🎒

 

What should my dancer bring?

 

  • All costume pieces (use checklist!)

  • Dance shoes & extra tights

  • Hair supplies

  • Water + light snacks

  • Quiet, non-messy activities

  • 👉 Please label EVERYTHING!

 

What if we forget something?

 

  • Please double-check everything before leaving home.

  • If something is missing, notify a staff member as soon as you arrive.

 

 

🎟️ TICKETS & PHOTOS 🎟️

 

Do we need tickets?

 

  • Ages 4+ require a ticket

  • Dancers and volunteers do NOT need tickets (for show volunteering for)

  • $20 in advance / $25 at the door

  • General admission seating

 

Can I take photos or videos?

 

  • Dress rehearsal: Photos/video allowed (no flash)

    • Professional photos available by Showstopper Photography in the lobby!

  • Recital: No photos or video permitted

  • 👉 A professional video is included!

 

When will we receive photos and video?

 

  • You will be contacted once they are ready—typically early summer.

 

 

🎉 DAY-OF RECITAL 🎉

 

How does drop-off and pick-up work?

 

  • Drop-off is backstage through the lobby doors

  • One parent should check in and pick up

  • Only female adults are permitted in dressing rooms (boys have a separate space)

 

What happens after the finale?

 

  • Mini Movers & Kinder Kids are dismissed from the stage

  • All other dancers return backstage for pick-up

 

What do we do between shows?

 

  • Feel free to leave, grab food, and reset!

  • Dancers must return backstage by 5:30 PM for the second show.

Can we leave items in the dressing rooms?

  • No items may be left at dress rehearsal or overnight

  • Items may stay between shows on recital day only
